Compared to May 2019:
- Cattle slaughtered decreased 0.3% to 686,500 head
- Beef production decreased 0.5% to 194,800 tonnes
Compared to June 2018:
- Cattle slaughtered increased 3.1%
- Beef production increased 1.0%
Calves
Compared to May 2019:
- Calves slaughtered remained steady at 49,400 head
- Veal production remained steady at 2,300 tonnes
Compared to June 2018:
- Calves slaughtered increased 31.4%
- Veal production increased 47.8%
Sheep
Compared to May 2019:
- Sheep slaughtered decreased 1.1% to 764,100 head
- Mutton production decreased 1.3% to 17,900 tonnes
Compared to June 2018:
- Sheep slaughtered decreased 13.1%
- Mutton production decreased 12.1%
Lamb
